How to edit layered/split voice in Mask1?
| Starship Gautr | Posted on Sat 28 Feb 2026, 12:56 AM Hi all, after reading the forum I've managed to clear some doubts on how to use the Mask1. But I still have a thing I cannot seem to figure out if it is possible. How can I switch from editing the current voice to editing the layered voice? Is the layered voice always a preset/user program? What I'm expecting is that some kind of button combo will allow me to switch from editing the oscillators of voice 1 to go to the oscillators of voice 2. But so far the only way I can see is that you need to go and edit+save the other program then go back to the layered voice program. |

The current behavior acts like a security feature, setting a clear separation between what you're editing and what you aren't. The layered voice is always a preset or a user program. A voice does not contain another voice, it is a link to another voice. |

After a week, I’m finding Split better for live performance (bass + pads), while Single mode is my studio go-to since layers get massive quickly.Honestly, the Mask1 sounds so good it might replace my Blofeld and Micro Q. It captures what I like from the Waldorf vibe but with more "magic" and an easier way to get those sweetspots. |
