MASK1 & MASK1 EX Polychaining
Failed Muso![]() | Would it be possible to implement poly-chaining so that the MASK1 and MASK1 EX could be connected via MIDI and deliver 22-note polyphony and maybe 7-part multi-timbrality? |
KODAMO![]() | It is possible to add a soft thru option that would enable chaining. But connecting both units directly to your MIDI interface would be better for latency. To increase polyphony it is doable with or without chaining: one unit could be assigned to handle even notes, the other would handle odd notes. It's quite a specific use so I don't know if it will be implemented, but I add this in the suggestion list nevertheless |
Failed Muso![]() | Thanks for the reply! 😀 I had totally forgotten that I had asked this, and then was asked by someone when I was discussing the new EX Mk.2, so came here to ask, only to find I already had! 😜 The Even/Odd functionality would be cool. The Yamaha TX81Z and DX11 could do this, enabling 16 voices instead of 8 when hooked together. Thanks again! |
Avi F![]() | Just pre-ordered my Mask1EX mk2 from perfectcircuit, I'm excited 😀 The microtuning is a lovely feature for Mask1 in general, happy to see it make its way to the new desktop. I'm curious what the factory sounds will be as well! Polychaining would be very cool, though I don't need it, it would be a fun bonus for dual layered sounds to play larger chords. |
Avi F![]() | I have a midi solutions merge, not sure if this kind of device would work for the purpose of chaining or doing round Robin style as mentioned. What sort of interface would work/ would you recommend for such a purpose? |
