2025 EFM wishlist

Colin Muir Dorward	Posted on Wed 15 Jan 2025, 10:17 PM Still using EFM in every song since I got it two or three years ago... What a workhorse! Tempo-synced envelops are still sorely missed. The other thing is I really wish is that the LFO was higher resolution. I use it all the time for doing basic amplitude modulation wobbles, but you get bad grainy artifacts, I think due to the LFO's resolution. Of course, if we had tempo-synced envelopes then I could use those higher resolution control signals instead :) I know this is probably not realistic, but I often wish operators could be switched between doing FM and doing AM. I think some of the older Yamahas integrated AM capabilities into the FM architecture?

Avi F	Posted on Sat 18 Jan 2025, 06:33 PM It works well with round Robin alone, but I think the thing with morpher, with the morpher lfo turned on for that, or without the morpher lfo, is because morpher functions to do this smoothly, however the ride hat crash etc kick and snare transients are much shorter/ snappier than adsr with long sustains. The result i get, is a fluttery/granular like sound on morpher mode, even without the lfo or voice sequencer turned on. Which is still interesting but not what I'm looking to make. If the morpher could be triggered by a looped envelope, though, maybe it would pick that up. Although I'm not sure how much memory resources are taken up for doing a potential update like that.
