MIDI Controller Cc Modmatrix

Alfredoclick
Hi, i wanted to use my BCR 2000 to controll different voices and Parameters of the Sounds i created without menu diving in multimode. I set up the Midi Ccs in the Mod Matrix and it worked. But every time i turned off the essencefm the values of the Ccs i mapped in the mod Matrix were set to Zero. So when i set the Cc to the Operator Volume there is no Sound.

Also it is not possible to tweak a parameter on the device itself while its connected to a Cc via the Modmatrix.

Is there a Solution for this issues?

Hi,
It's normal that CCs override voice parameters once they are mapped. Maybe it's not the best solution but the whole matrix works like that.
The easiest solution would be to make your controller send the appropriate CC values at the beginning. So the EssenceFM isn't left with zeroes.

Also check the "Knobs" page in Performance mode, it allows you to assign knobs to CCs and to set a default value for these CCs, that should work with the mod matrix

Hello, thanks for the responce. It would be fine if the Ccs just override the voice parameters as long as the original parameters could be reloaded while making a programm change. As long as you connect a Parameter to a Cc in the mod Matrix, it loses its original value. I realised you can set the offset to avoid that the Parameters are set to zero and are close to their original value, but thats more like a workaround and requires a few more steps of Programming. In case of using the modmatrix-offset, e.g. Operators Volume to 34, you cant use the MIDI Cc to decrease the value lower than 34.

Maybe i am missing something.

On my wishing list for an update would be, that you can store the Cc Data into the voice to use a controller to create the sounds. And to keep the original values while connecting Ccs in the modmatrix to just override with a midi controller without loosing the sound.
