Is eurorack integration possible?

Telum Atramenti
Hello folks. I do realise that Kodamo EssenceFM is marketed as a "desktop synthesizer" but because it actually comes with rack ears, and because I seem to have just the right amount of space in one of my cabinets that isn't occupied by any modules, - I wonder if it's at all doable. As far as the power supply, I already have it connected to a eurorack via a 12 volt polarity reverser cable adapter to save on the amount of power bars, the way some of my other synths are connected. However, the synth itself is much larger, and will not go in unless it's disassembled down to just the front panel. I tried to look up if anyone has done it yet, but I got no hits. Is it possible to do without parts integral for its functioning hanging by the ribbon cables? I mean, - if not, I'd rather not attempt disassembly in the first place, so I decided to first ask. Thx in advance.

Hello
You can remove the side panels if that helps, but not much more. It is not very deep once the triangle-shaped sides are removed

It's not just the depth. It's that the front panel is slightly larger than the vertical space in the cabinet. If it were only the front panel with the sides gone (just the front panel and the stuff attached to it), - then the front panel would slightly overlap the top and bottom edges by 2-3mm, which would be fine. This is exactly how my "Neutron" synth fit in my other cabinet. But I guess from what you're saying - it cannot be done this way, the sides are necessary because there are PCBs attached to them as well. Alas... I mean, it's not such a big deal, it's just with the rental fees in Canada gone through the roof, lately - I find I have to literally fight for every inch of space in my studio, as I can't afford renting larger space.

No PCBs are attached to the sides, you can safely remove them.
In fact, even the whole metal housing can be removed although it helps supporting the output jacks. Everything is attached to the front panel.
Check the attached picture to get a better understanding of the assembly.

Oh wow. That really helps. I reckon it will be much safer in a latched modular case. Thank you.
