Factory Sounds and factory reset
DesTec | Posted on Fri 05 Jan 2024, 10:49 AM hi ! I'm a proud new owner of a second hand Essence MKII . I would like to restore it to factory state but i have some doubts:Where is the list or the file with the factory sounds? Would it be charged with the factory reset on the Kodamo or is it anther file that i cant find? Is there a way to compare the actual presets that my unit has with the original sound banks to check what are the different sounds? Thx in advance. |
KODAMO | Posted on Fri 05 Jan 2024, 02:07 PM Hi,For the factory reset you can follow this procedure in the user manual : https://kodamo.org/essencefm_manual#section91 It requires downloading a file and using a USB drive to do the reset |
DesTec | Posted on Sat 06 Jan 2024, 08:30 AM Yeah i have read the way to reset it but that doesnt answer my questions . Thx anyway, great product!!! |
KODAMO | Posted on Sat 06 Jan 2024, 04:50 PM Sorry. The provided file contains everything for the reset, including all voices, patches, waveforms. When doing the reset, you can compare the resetted voices, patches and waveforms with the original by pressing Recall for the desired elements. Keep in mind though that it makes little sense to do that, you don't want to manually compare thousands of elements. Best is to listen to a few sounds before reset, do the reset and check if most things sounds OK, then you press Save for all the elements if you want to keep the resetted elements, or you power cycle the EssenceFM to get the previous sounds back. |
