LFO one-shot mode, Mask for Op waveforms
traffkin![]() | Posted on 25 Aug 2023, 12:57 AM it would be great to be able to use an LFO as kinda complex non-cycling function generatoris it possible to add mask option to the operator waveform, like it is in the LFO section? thanks in advance! impatiently looking for new firmware 😉 |
KODAMO![]() | Posted on 27 Aug 2023, 10:02 PM Non-cycling LFO are already achievable with the Decay parameter (without resetting their phase). For the operators, I'm not sure to understand, masking is already done on the operator's waveforms. Masking the 'base waveform' is the same as masking the operators. The LFOs use the same technique, but much slower. |
traffkin![]() | Posted on 29 Aug 2023, 06:48 PM i probably do something wrong...i mean the lfo waveform has the mask option, and i don't see that option in operators waveform window |
KODAMO![]() | Posted on 30 Aug 2023, 11:26 PM Oh I see, you are talking about the EssenceFM. Thought that was about the Mask1. We should add a way to distinguish between products in the forum 😀 |
traffkin![]() | Posted on 31 Aug 2023, 11:29 PM so when we sorted it out :) my first question makes sense or not? |
KODAMO![]() | Posted on 02 Sep 2023, 03:51 PM Mask on the operators is technically impossible, it requires way too much processing, only the Mask1 can do that and with lower polyphony. For the LFO, can you elaborate about the function generator? By non-cycling, you just mean an LFO that does not loop? |
traffkin![]() | Posted on 03 Sep 2023, 12:23 AM yes, lfo without looping, kinda one-shot arbitrary function. the good example might be the drawable functions on the fairlight cmi |
