Loopable Mask Envelopes?

AndH123
Hi,

I am loving the Mask 1, but one thing I am finding myself really wishing was possible was the ability to loop the mask envelopes. I don't get the best results when using the built in LFO's to modulate the masks, as the results are often too choppy, but I think having the ability to loop the delta envelopes would be really great. Thoughts?

Hi,
Using LFO with saw up/saw down waveforms should be equivalent to a looped mask envelope. The main difference is that the LFO is bipolar (it makes the mask both higher and lower compared to its normal value), so after you added your LFO you probably want to adjust the osc mask to compensate for that and find the sweet spot.
Bitmask synthesis makes abrupt changes to the waveform, but some mask ranges give smoother results, you will find these "optimal ranges" with some experimentation 😉

Yea I am definitely finding which ranges/playing styles lend themselves to bipolar LFO's but still finding I would love the option of something unipolar for the masks in addition to freeing up the other 2 LFO's to modulate other parameters
