Selecting outputs for drum kit

MDMA
So I've had this for a few days now and am starting to want to use the multi outs for a drum kit I've created.
All my hits/voices are assigned to a patch and I want to assign each voice to its own output, this is where I am having an issue. the only place I can see to assign the outputs is in performance mode, but this doesn't allow me to assign key groups or key ranges, meaning that the voices are hitting the outputs all the time.
I get that I can probably work around this by assigning a different midi channel to each performance patch, but that would mean multip[le tracks in my DAW, which I don't want.

Am I missing something glaringly obvious here?

What if you create multiple patches in performance, each for the key range you want and coming out of different outputs but ALSO set them for the same MIDI channel.
Then you'd be able to record everything onto one MIDI track in your DAW but you will be driving multiple tracks within the Kodamo performance.

Yeah that's certainly a work around, if not a little clumsy. Ideally I'd like to create a single patch containing all my drum hits.
I have found a workaround, or even the correct method of doing this in Cubase. I can create a patch with all my drum hits, then create a performance with all the same patches and different midi channels. In Cubase I can create a drum map which enables me to select different midi channels per note, I can then have every hit on its own channel and change the outputs in performance mode.
This seems to be the way to do it, however it would be great to be able to assign outputs at the voice stage in the EssenceFM, but suppose this could get messy and isn't even possible. I do however find the lack of key groups/key ranges in the performance mode a little limiting, this would be a great advantage when assigning instrument in order to allow for splits, but guess the workflow is that this is done at the voice stage.

You are doing it the right way.
You take advantage of the EssenceFM ability to link elements rather than duplicating them (your drum patch in multiple parts, is still a single patch). Like a single voice can be referenced multiple times in a patch with different layer attributes for interesting stereo/detune effects.

I'm not sure if adding a per-voice output select is a good idea, because that would make the whole thing a bit confusing (having a patch configured for some output/effect, but with voices inside bypassing it)
