Layer Morphing as a Patch Property

ForlornSynths
I absolutely LOVE the Layer Morphing feature!

I created a patch with four soft pad-like voices and tapped the Morpher button, selected the LFO and created a wonderful orbit that transformed this patch into a wonderfully dynamic and evolving pad. This experience was efficient, intuitive, and created a transcendent soundscape.

Unfortunately, this feature cannot be saved into the patch.

I would LOVE to be able to incorporate unique Layer Morphs and save them as part of my patches. When I'd select such a patch, I wouldn't have to go into edit mode and select the Morpher and program it and keep the synth in that view. The morph would just be a part of the patch like the effects I assigned.

Does that make sense?
Can this be done?
It is such a powerful feature and allows sounds to evolve so dynamically!

Thank you for all that you're doing to improve this already outstanding instrument!
And thank you for Firmware 6!

Kodamo seems to be active on the forum, but I'm curious why I haven't gotten a response on this.

I'm hesitant to enter anything else when I haven't heard back on this. Did I ask for something absurd? I'm still getting a grip with the instrument. I'm able to do quite a bit already and, as a testament to the design, I feel quite comfortable with I've already learned. I've had a few other queries, but I didn't want to flood the system - especially since I hadn't heard back on this one yet.

I don't mean to be rude or unappreciative. I just want to make sure that I'm communicating appropriately.
I'm grateful for this resource and delighted with this instrument.

I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.

Peace.

+1 for reading an answer on that too. Excited

Hello,

Your request totally make sense

Morpher settings cannot be saved, by the way we wanted to save them but that required many changes to the memory layout which is risky.

Best is to treat it as a real-time controller for now (in the future we may work on that but without any promise)

Kodamo,

I understand if you don't have a way to include that easily within the patch memory. I hope for a possible future modification that addresses this, but I understand if it does not happen. It doesn't change my opinion of this extraordinary instrument. However, if you do get to make that change in the future, I will make sure to let everyone know by singing its praises from the mountaintops!

Peace to you all and thank you for this inspiring instrument!

The more I use the morph feature the more I would like to save the settings for every patch are using it.

I really understand how difficult it could be... but it is a must that will make happy a lot of us!

Another great feature could be to be able to select wich voice occupy which corner of the Morpher, like with four voices menus at every corner, so we can change the order of the voices and also, in patch with more than four voices, be able to choose on the fly which one of them should be involved and which one not.

Essence is a GREAT synth and everything you are doing to improve it make it always better and better!

Sorry... I would like to say:

"Another great feature could be to be able to select which voice take place in which corner of the Morpher, like with four drop down menus, one at every corner, so we can change the order of the voices involved in the morphing process and also be able to choose on the fly which one of them should be involved and which one not."

One suggestion: Can the X & Y of the morpher be assigned CCs and saved?
Then use Modmatrix to assign the morpher's CCs to parameters, which are saved there.
KODAMO
The TouchPad in Global mode does that (CC are saved and you can use them in the mod matrix)
