Karplus-Strong
| Kopplog | I haven't read this forum within the last couple of month due to lack of time. But, what I remember it was discussed of implementing short samples to work, wasn't it? So, my question - if someone ever thought of introducing the synth into Karplus-Strong synthesis, as it already has capabilities in running DSPs as well? I couldn't think of any better platform, after the EFM has this dial-in precision... Thanks for thoughts. |
KODAMO | Like most digital synths, they can be made to do almost anything. However, the EssenceFM was super-optimized to do FM so the sound engine cannot be changed afterwards (it <i>has </i>to handle 300 FM voices and uses all its resources for that). We got a new feature though, that makes it more powerful in the upcoming 6.0 firmware... More info soon 👍 |
