Colin Muir Dorward![]() | Posted on Sun 16 May 2021, 02:07 AM How cool would it be able to turn on a scope in the space behind the operators? It could display the currently selected op's output to give us a deeply educational FM experience. One thing EFM is teaching me is how little I know about FM. Now that my brain is not preoccupied with a UI battle, I'm starting to see what I've been missing. I'm sure this is not a likely addition to EFM, but just thought I'd throw it out there as food for thought. Maybe someone will add it to a future FM project. |
KODAMO![]() | Posted on Thu 20 May 2021, 03:04 PM A scope that takes the global output rather than each operator's output is possible. That would work well while doing sound design playing a single note, but not much as soon as polyphony or multi-timbrality is used |

One would simply need to drop the desired OP down to the bottom row to inspect it's output. Well I'm not going to hold my breath, but perhaps it's something to consider! |
