Algorithm Modulation?
flec8![]() | Posted on Wed 11 Nov 2020, 06:55 PM I was wondering if adding LFO/MIDI CC control over the Algorithms is at all planned? The free algorithm design sort of complicates it, but it would be great even to switch through the 32 algorithm libraries with modulation. Maybe I've just missed it in the CC mappings? Thanks! (PS: I'd love more modulation in general. That new Korg opsix announcement has me yearning for their 3 LFO setup ;) ) |
KODAMO![]() | Posted on Thu 12 Nov 2020, 01:29 AM Maybe I've just missed it in the CC mappings? You're not missing it, it's simply not there :) It's possible to add that. Results may be hard to control though (especially when a modulator with no release or very long release ends up as a carrier, notes will sound like they're stuck). That new Korg opsix announcement has me yearning for their 3 LFO setup ;) ) A lot of people wanted more LFOs, unfortunately it's a bit late to change that now. You can simulate them with volume/pitch envelope loops (= 12 independent "LFO" per voice), which I think the Opsix can't. You can also use an operator as an LFO if you set its frequency low enough. |
flec8![]() | Posted on Thu 12 Nov 2020, 03:34 AM Thanks for the reply. The lack of control would be fine on the algorithms. In fact, this is mostly what I like to do with that. Some glitchy quick modulations for percussion type sounds. Sort of like the CV control over algorithm the ALM Akemie's Taiko has. |
