Visualising modulation

One question - would it be possible in the future to be able to see the effect of modulations in real-time on the screen, for instance see the envelope moving if you are modulating it? Maybe it would take too much processing power? Also, just a minor point - when I change the volume or panning in the Voice setting I hear some slight 'zippering' noise, is this normal? I don't hear it when I modulate the panning. Once again, thank you for creating such an enjoyable FM monster! :) |

It's more about how confusing it would appear for the user, we'd need a way to show that the modulation is taking control of the envelope, it's hard to make this clear (also what would happen if the user is trying to edit a parameter that is constantly changed by the modmatrix) Also, just a minor point - when I change the volume or panning in the Voice setting I hear some slight 'zippering' noise, is this normal? I don't hear it when I modulate the panning. This is normal, parameters are updated 60 times/sec when you're moving the sliders, moving them quickly will create abrupt changes. It may be more noticeable on Volume than Panning. Controlling parameters via CCs should solve the issue, they are updated at a much higher rate. If you want to do on-screen editing live maybe moving the parameters slowly could help Once again, thank you for creating such an enjoyable FM monster! :) Thank you! ;) |
