VST/AU/Standalone App for Mask1 EX MK2
| Lizel | Seeing the new web editor from GEOSynths(bought your Peak patches a few years ago...love your work) reminded me that I stopped working on my own editor/librarian for the MASK1EX MK2 back in May. I originally started this just for myself because I loved the sound of the hardware, but wanted more direct control than the front panel gave me. I did not really plan to share it, but I kept adding features and the project got a bit out of hand. I have been using it myself for the past months and it has been stable in my own setup. Since it is a VST/AU and standalone app and not a web editor, I thought there still might be interest in the community, because it can save/recall your synth state in your DAW. It also has some extra functions. At the moment it is Mac only. I don't know if I will port it to windows. I’m looking for a small number of users to test it for macOS. Current beta targets: - macOS 12 Monterey or later - Apple Silicon and Intel Macs - Standalone app - VST3 plugin - Audio Unit for Logic Pro - A Mask Especially useful: - one Monterey tester - one Intel Mac tester - Logic Pro users - Ableton Live users - one non-Ableton VST3 DAW tester - users willing to test USB MIDI backup/library workflows Important note about MASK1 / MASK1EX compatibility: The app was built for the MASK1EX MK2. I do not know yet whether it works with the original MASK1 or the earlier MASK1EX. I would be interested in finding out what is shared, what fails, and what would need to be adapted. If you are interested and the targets fit your setup just apply with this google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdKS7ukzTxVNA4MY7oFWtD8wAE4GaOIyOfTkQqQwRddQuRFIw/viewform Download links will be sent by email to selected testers so I can keep the beta small and manageable. The form only asks for contact and setup information needed for the beta test. Oh and please be patient with me. I am in the middle of an album production, so I am just doing this in my spare time. |
