Mask1 EX MK2 Video + Editor/Librarian.
GEOSynths | So, I've had the Mask 1 EX MK2 for a few weeks now and am very impressed with the Synth and richness of the Sound. I've made a Video where I demonstrate some of the Sounds I've made, have a run through the functions and demonstrate the Web Based Editor/Librarian I have created. B4rb4tron | Thanks for making this! One thing, If I choose the 'dark' layout, the foreground and background of the popout menus are both white. In your theme.css, the .gm-input {background}, is not changing to a dark background when choosing the 'dark' theme. (it looks like the background has 100% transparency. At least, in my inspector) |
| GEOSynths | I changed it so they were both same, as it it was difficult to see the text against the background when transparency was in the original theme, especially when linking Patches for the Layers/Splits, which is currently one long list. I've updated the the FX selection, so it's not one long list and is conditional on FX Type selected. I'm going to do the same with the Patch Select for Layering/Splits. Have added +/- for skipping Octaves for the Masks, they wrap the Semitone Knob in the Oscillator Section. |
| GEOSynths | Buttons have now been added for selecting Patches for Layer/Split, instead of one large Drop Down, it's conditional with Factory 1,2,3 and User. Factory Banks are one large Bank on the Hardware, but they are separate in the App, easier to Export and for selecting. Filter Mode Select and Filter 2 selection are now buttons, not in Drop Downs. |

| GEOSynths | Just out of curiosity: was AI used in making of this editor? It was yes, mainly the back end. I originally used Google Gemini, but that has issues with getting things wrong, deleting functions that were once working. I moved over to Claude and that is on another level. Still took about 50 hours in total to build, lots of tracking down errors, reading sysex and then UI Design. While AI has its issues both technically and ethically, I think it's a very useful "Tool". |
