Kodamo Mask Ex1 Mk2 MIDI
DKristian | I love the sound of the Mask1 EX Mk 2, and have used it in many tracks thus far, but I am not a player, so I am sequencing everything from a Torso T1, which has a synth assigned to each of it 16 channels. The only way I can use the Mask is by sacrificing other synths due to the way it handles MIDI. Would it be possible to "set all parts to the same base channel" or have "per-part MIDI channel override" on a future firmware upgrade? As it stands, it seems my only solution is to create and assign a blank patch to the other channels. Thanks in advance! |
KODAMO | You can set MIDI Channel setting to 16, so the Mask1EX MK2 will respond only to this channel (since channel 17 does not exist). Would that be an OK solution for your use case? |
| DKristian | That's brilliant! I'll just switch between that and the synth that currently uses 16. Why didn't I think of that! I went thru a whole workaround scenario involving midi event processors, separate sequencers etc. 🙄 Thanks! |
