USB audio not working in Ableton / macOS
| Mimask | Hi, I just received my Mask1EX MK2 - great instrument! USB MIDI works fine, but USB audio does not. When I select the MK2 (Firmware 1.5) as audio device (general settings) in Ableton Live 12.4 on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1, I get the error: "The selected audio devices do not have the same sample rate as Live." macOS Audio MIDI Setup reports the device sample rate as 38,000 Hz. I tried setting Ableton to both 44,100 Hz and 48,000 Hz - but Ableton still rejects it. How can I set up the device correctly? |
KODAMO![]() | Hi, This might be an Ableton limitation. All DAWs should accept any sample rate from any device and adapt it to the project's sample rate. We're not Ableton experts but you might try tweaking some sample rate related settings to see if one work better |
| Mimask | Thanks for answering! I´ve tried different settings, it seems that Ableton Live only accepts fixed sample rates like 44.100 Hz, so this would only work with an external audio routing app. The sample rate of the Mask 1 EX MK2 is therefore 38,000 Hz? In that case, I would prefer recording via an audio interface. |
