Midi channel & parts
B4rb4tron![]() | Hi, How can I send notes to the second part on the mask1 ex mk2? It doesn't matter to which midi channel I send midi (1-16), I can only send midi to the first part. And, I always send midi to the first part. It basically doesn't matter to which channel I send anything. Also, When I set the mask1 ex mk2 to a different channel than 1 (2-16), The mask1 ex mk2 doesn't respond to midi at all. I can send midi to any channel (1-16), but I get no response. What can i try to use part 2? and how can I set the device, so it doesn't respond so all midi channels, or to no midi channels? |
KODAMO![]() | Hi, By setting the "Base MIDI Channel" parameter to 3 for example, the device will respond to channels 3 and 4. To select which part you're currently editing, press the Part button. If you hear no sound on the second part, try switching presets to see if that helps. Otherwise your controller might be incorrectly setup |
B4rb4tron![]() | Thank you of pointing me in the right direction. I tried multiple controllers and multiple midi interfaces, but then I saw this -rechannelize to channel 1- checkbox in Gig performer (software I use for routing) Unchecking this (it is checked by default) and everything is working as it should be 😍 |
KODAMO![]() | I'm glad you sorted it out! Have fun 🙂 |
