| Jason | *edit-- wrong instrument tag. Sorry about that, can't seem to change it* Hi Kodamo! I've recently received an EXmk2 and, though the unit works perfectly (and sounds amazing BTW), something is rattling around inside the enclosure. Would removing the front panel be the quickest route to removing it, whatever it is? Or one of the sides perhaps? I figured I'd ask before just digging in... In case I might run into any surprises. All that aside, I just want to say that I love this thing. I worried that the UI would feel a bit opaque but it's very much the opposite. Everything is so thoughtfully laid out-- I was designing sounds an recording in no time. My only regret is missing the boat on a keyboard version. I don't suppose there's any chance of future MPE support? Thanks! |
KODAMO![]() | Hi, The easiest way is to unscrew the three screws holding one of the sides. Please keep us informed about what it is. Thank you for sharing your positive impressions about the Mask1EX. Yes, the UI is designed to be extremely easy to use, people are often skeptical before trying it. Probably they're afraid of some DX7 level of complexity... But this is not the case 😄 I'm glad you like it! We'll see how we can add MPE, nothing is impossible |
| Jason | It was a small black plastic nut! Hopefully an optional piece. Nothing exploded, so I'd call that success:) Thanks for your help-- and I'm thrilled to hear about possible possibilities! If it never happens, that's cool... But if it does... |
KODAMO![]() | Thank you for the picture! You can remove the four outer screws on the front panel and the three rear nuts to lift the front panel and see if the nut unscrewed itself from somewhere or if it was just there for no reasons. But if the buttons and knobs feel solid when you press them, it is probably not needed and you can leave it as is. If you decide to open it, beware these nylon nuts require very little torque to avoid damaging their thread. |
| Jason | Everything feels solid, so I think I'll leave well enough alone. Maybe an extra just ended up in there during the assembly process. I'll keep it, just in case I notice a problem-- then I'll try to figure out where I put it :) Thanks again! |
