2.0

30 May 2026

  • Improved range for LFO delay and decay. Improved behavior: LFO decay fully waits for delay to finish before kicking in. LFO delay and decay offer smoother fade-in and fade-out. Due to these changes, some sounds (presets and user voices) might be affected
  • Improved resolution for envelope rate scaling. Now works smoother across the keyboard.
  • Limited volume to 45 instead of 63. Unlike many synths, on the Mask1EX, volume controls the digital gain, ie. the headroom! At max level it clipped easily, so we limited it to 45. Under normal circumstances, we suggest to keep volume around 30.
  • When navigating voices, voice name is now scrolled three times before stopping
  • Fixed issue with distortion as master effect (outputted extremely loud sound in some cases)

Kodamo Update Utility

1.7

23 May 2026

  • Fixed incorrect channel for MIDI-Thru feature when Base MIDI Ch was not set to 1

1.6

19 May 2026

  • Added soft MIDI-Thru option. Global > MIDI OUT-THRU parameter. It can be set to NO (disabled), DIN (sends DIN In to Out), USB (sends USB-MIDI to DIN Out)
  • Added more options to disable effects globally. Global > FX DISABLE parameter. It can be set to NO (all effects enabled), TIME (disables all time-related effects, ie. Reverbs and Delays), ALL (disables all effects, you will hear the raw sound as it is after the filter)

1.5

02 May 2026

  • Fixed distortion effect outputting no sound when used as Master effect on part 1 (preset #244 had this issue)
  • Added CCs to control more sound parameters. CC58, 59, 60, 61 to enable/disable Osc1, Osc2, Filter and Noise envelope loop. CCs 62 and 63 to control velocity destination and amount. CCs 16 and 17 to control modwheel destination and amount. CCs 18 and 102 to control aftertouch destination and amount. CC76 for arp latch. CC77 for arp retrig. Arp speed is now controlled by two CC for full range control: CC89 for 10-264 BPM range, CC75 for 265-400 BPM range.
  • Fixed MIDI lockup under some circumstances (fixes CME WIDI Master Bluetooth adapter)
  • Fixed arpeggiator glitch when enabling/disabling Latch with notes pressed but Arp type set to none

1.3

21 Apr 2026

  • Fixed "Time FX" global setting not working properly (allows to globally disable delays and reverbs)
  • Fixed split point change not working (keep Split key pressed for one second and send a note to the Mask1EX to set split point)
  • Switching voices doesn't reset global settings menu position anymore
  • Reduced clicks when switching between some sounds while sound is playing
