Noice osc type possible?

Can I get white noice sound with this? And it's a real paper manual with it. Impressive 🧡 I'm reading the manual but it's hard to read though to the black background. Thanks for your time P
KODAMO	Posted on Wed 01 Nov 2023, 03:27 PM Hi, With FM you can do white noise : put two operators onto each other, ensure the top one has feedback available (two of the 6 operators have it on the EssenceFM). Set the top operator volume to the max and feedback to the max. You now have white noise 😉 Use the bottom operator volume to control the overall volume of the white noise.

I'm having a Torso T1 that can control by step lock function 0_127. I'm looking for making rythmic modulations. It also sends on 16 channels. I'm not looking for that typical ambient FM sounds I want snappy midi controlled envelopes and everything else parameter vice that can be controlled. I was really looking at the blofeld for it's cold cool filters and a great midi implementation. But then i found this beast. Sample import is only for modulation source right? I'm kinda new to FM but i learn and have much experience in sound design terms and meaning. Anything more cool i can do with dominate it with CC# step locks? I saw you implanted a highpass filter that can morph from high pass to low pass. Cool! This will be my first FM synth as i have reach the point were analog syntes has taken me as far sound vice i can go. 300 voices! If I would like to use it in omni mode like 16 midi controlled sound sources. I have a lot to play with right? Have you updated the manual since you implanted highpss and what else did you do in your update? Any effects? I read a lot of reviews about it and it was a mixed bag. But most don't buy a FM synth for making rythmic msyhems :)

KODAMO	Posted on Sun 19 Nov 2023, 11:15 PM Yes, any CC can be used to control the filters and various parameters of the envelope (overall length, individual segment lengths or point Y position). It depends on how you use the voices. 300 voices is a lot, but if you use patches with stacked voice layers inside it can add up quickly (but don't be shy, the EssenceFM was built for voice stacking, because in most situations you'll never need to play 300 invididual, different notes) Have you updated the manual since you implanted highpss and what else did you do in your update?
