More precise timings of voices in patch

dstengle
Given how much you get from layering, it seems like having some kind of easy fine grained control over when a voice starts would be nice. At 500 bpm you get about 120ms in the sequencer but I could see wanting a bit more control. An overall delay for the voice at the patch level could work. I realize you could do this with envelopes, but that would be extremely fiddly.

For the voice sequencer, slow tempo will make for a long sequence with fairly loose timing, fast tempo will do a short sequence with very precise timing. Best possible precision is about 2ms.
It's almost always possible to find a good compromise between length and precision depending on the sounds you're making - do you really need more?

I think maybe I misunderstood the timings in the grid. 2ms would be just dandy, but does that work out? If the grid is 1/8 then you would have 16ms per tick? That is still pretty good and better than the 120ms I thought.

The resolution is higher than the grid. You can place the dots inbetween to precisely set the timing between notes.
