Tuning changes don't take affect
Posted on 2020-07-09, 12:27 AMHi,
Owning one since two days -
I didn't had luck with changing tuning tables (Scala) so far...
The machine is connected via MIDI to the DAW, used as a sequencer. I run it in performance mode. Maybe I got something wrong, but as far as I understand changing the tuning table to, let's say 19-tet, the music immediately should take affect by the change?
have the recent version of OS running...
It once froze starting the Essence FM from new... So, there might be some bugs as well ;)

Yes, but to hear the changes you need to make sure your voice use the scale you're editing, that's not a global setting it's per voice. By default almost all of them use the first one (Equal). You can change that in the "Base" tab of your voices (Scale button).
If you want to quickly set your song to a specific scale without having to edit all the voices (!), just overwrite the first scale with your new one. You can keep a copy of the original on other slots, it's easy to manage with Copy/Paste actions

Can you explain how you triggered the freeze ? We found a case where it may freeze on the last firmware, in certain algorithm configurations when a weird overlap happens. That will be fixed. If you find something else we'll do our best to fix it too ;)
