No unison?

Coming from the DX7 iiFD, I'm used to having polyphonic unison mode that stacks detuned voices. It's not an uncommon feature on other synths too, but I can't find it on the EssenceFM and I can't find any reference to it in the manual. I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking something? For instance, it's not hidden in a menu or called something different, right?

There is no unison mode, because layering with detuning is very quick to do on the EssenceFM (and since layers point to the same voice, it's effectively a single voice played many times like what a Unison button would do)
