MORPHING POWER
BROCKSTAR | Posted on Mon 26 Apr 2021, 09:56 PM I think it would be an awesome feature if it could be done... but the ability to have one of the 6 knobs or maybe even the "Data" knob morph between layers in a patch. Example, you have 4 layers in your patch and you can use the morphing feature to morph between the 4 layers and timbres and what not and the option to choose which layer gets morphed inside the patch and option for how much percentage of each layer we want morphed and out comes something new from them :) EDIT: Maybe a somewhat alternative to morphing the layers in a patch is to allow us to randomize the entire patch as a whole. Right now all you can do is randomize each voice inside of a patch (unless I'm missing something).... Give us the option to randomize the entire patch as a whole no matter how many layers it has. Also the option for how much percentage of each layer we want randomized as well. And the option to choose which layer gets randomized inside the patch etc. |
KODAMO | Posted on Tue 27 Apr 2021, 12:07 AM Thanks for the suggestion. It's always hard to decide which features to add, because we have to keep the UI clean. For example the voice randomization options are currently shown directly on screen. If we add one more parameter (like % of randomization), that would require a submenu or a popup. We get more features, but add an extra step to access them. About morphing between layers, we could assign all the coloured knobs to each layer's volume, when you're on the patch settings tab, since this page make no use of knobs currently. That would allow for live morphing between 6 different layers. |

I mean technically we can already alter the volume of each voice by clicking on each one and adjusting volume but having those 6 colored knobs do 6 voices in real time control could be interesting for patches that have 6 or less voices / layers. 🙂 |

Then you could assign these to volume yourself or any other parameter which would be much better. |
Soarer | Posted on Tue 27 Apr 2021, 08:49 AM Morphing could be elegantly accomplished with an accompanying iPad app. I’ve made a separate post about this. |
