scala .scl import problems
Posted on 19 Mar 2021, 01:25 AMi've been loading in some scala tuning files and there are problems with this.
10 edo - misses first note after root note. adds an extra note of 900 cents as last note.
11 edo - misses first note after root note. adds an extra note of 1000 cents as last note.
12 edo - ie normal 12 tone equal, misses first note, adds an extra 1100 cent note at end.
13, 14, 15, 17 edo - misses first note after root note.
16 edo - misses first note after root note. adds an extra note of 1170 cents as last note.
fixed 1/1 tuning - this should setup a scale of 1/1 on every note for a fixed note across the whole keyboard. results in wrong mapping by successively halving descending lower notes & doubling the upper notes from C4.
you can check these .scl files at Scale Workshop =>
i've not done any further testing than those files.
Posted on 19 Mar 2021, 11:51 AMWe found that it's related to the line break format in scala file, if the files are made on Windows they'll work, if they're made on Linux they will have the problem you describe.
Convert your files using this website to make them work: https://app.execeratics.com/LFandCRLFonline/?l=en
By the way that will be fixed soon, it's just a temporary solution
