NEW PATCHES

Giampo
Hi all guys, I am happy to share with you some patches I created with ESSENCE and I hope that all or only some of them will be included in the new version of the synth, I would be happy, and maybe changing the ridiculous provisional name.

Thank you for sharing them! They could be included in the next EssenceFM. Would you like your name to be displayed? (maybe renaming the patches Giamp-**** or giving you credit in the next newsletter)

Sure, thank you very much, I would be delighted if you included these patches in the next Essence, please rename whatever you want, in the near future I will complete bank "A" and make it available, for me it is fun to program sounds even if I never have thought of a commercial speech, thanks for the proposal anyway.
A greeting
Giampiero

Hi Giampiero,

I downloaded your patches but there is a couple of problems :
- You changed the first - and most used : the sine! - waveform to a user waveform, so almost the totality of the patches I have becomes unusable!
- Some patches are freezing the EFM when importing...

Hi, I'm sorry for what happens, but I had the need to modify all the waveforms, since it was allowed to do so, to develop my sounds, I don't know how to help you also because I still don't have clear some things, I am now happy with these and I would not want to change them anymore.

For the first point, it's not a problem for the EssenceFM, any waveform that is different from what you already have is imported in a user slot, and imported voices are updated to reflect any change in the waveform associations. If Giampo had its Sine on slot #1, you may have it elswhere depending on your free slots, the voice will still use the right waveform. Since Giampo's Sine is slightly different from the original Sine it's detected as a new waveform, but it really sounds identical it seems just slightly shifted. To avoid wasting slots you should edit the voices and use your Sine instead (then remove Giampo's sine).

For the second point, it's freezing because the voices use tons of custom waveforms, once you get past 24 waveforms the current import system doesn't handle it. Will be fixed in the upcoming firmware, by preventing the user from doing the import if there is no free slots left. Using lots of custom waveforms has the drawback of making the voices harder to share, as anyone may fill its 24 slots quickly.
