Transpose function changing the sound

Merkur
Hello,

I am programming a formant-like sound by having a zero frequency carrier and modulating the modulator (saw waveform) volume with the key number (with the correct values of offset and ratio it gives a kind of comb-filter effect). The higher you choose the modulator frequency, the stronger the filter effect you obtain, but then you end up having to play the very low part of the keyboard. So I used the transpose function in the "base" window, but problem : the tone changes when I transpose down... So I suppose the transpose function is actually changing the operators frequency instead of remapping the keyboard, which is fine in most of the cases. Any solution? (Maybe that behavior is inherent to the fm system because you can't really transpose down a zero frequency carrier but I'm too tired to try to figure it out ;-)

The transpose function act more like a keyboard remapping, like if you played higher/lower notes. Check your Key Vol Scaling, that may impact the sound after transposition.

Fixed-frequency operators aren't affected by Transpose

I will check that, thanks for the answer!
