Kodamo is a French synthesizer manufacturer and sound research laboratory. We focus on innovation, sound quality and user experience. We love to design unique instruments that have their own identity. All instruments are assembled by hand and individually tested.

Kodamo was created after the SynthFest event in 2019, where we unveiled the EssenceFM, a powerful synthesizer module secretly developed over the last years. It is the only FM synthesizer to provide 300 voice polyphony and such powerful sound design tools using a touch screen.

In 2022 we released the Mask1, our first keyboard synthesizer. It introduces Bitmask Synthesis, a technique used in computer programming that we adapted to generate sound. It also provides a unique articulation system that reacts to the player's style, making it one of the most expressive keyboard available.
