MIDI-Teach for external hardware

Kopplog
Thinking of getting some hardware MIDI interface hardware to roll/source out some deeper tweaks of some EFM'S voices/ patches/ fx's...

If not established yet, some
MIDI mapping-ability like
"MIDI-Teach" (EFM telling the interface which eg. CC it will be for a moved encode)
would be awesome

Hi again, hope my question was reasonable?
Thx

I'm not sure to get it, can you explain further on what it is and how it works ?

Basically, he wants Kodamo automatically detect and assign a CC when it is moved when “Learn” mode is selected and a fader, pot, etc is moved.
Kopplog
Exactly.
Thx, JazzPaladin

I'd imagine an experience like that:
Touch whatever setting on the EFM - while in Performance-Mode somewhere enabling "MIDI-Teach" by pressing a hardware button (remember in Ableton: the MIDI-button on the right up side?) - so EFM will now be awaiting for a fader/knob turned on a hardware MIDI controller to (re)assigning the controller quickly for all you'd need on-stage or at home...

IMHO,
that really would raise the EFM's working experience by alot -
I'm someone who loves the functionality of the EFM's touchscreen, but still I'd rather wanna get my left hand free for wiggling on a MIDI hardware control to change some some filter settings (or whatever, deep internal sound settings), while playing a keyboard with the right hand.
I could assign everything by hand, yes. But I see a deep potential here for the EFM to set itself more apart from the "brainless" rest of many synths and make the EFM more growing a real Performance Synth.

Thanks for listening

The EssenceFM already has MIDI learn for modulation matrix input (auto detects CC). But what you're looking for is some kind of global MIDI learn that would work or any currently selected parameter, right ?

Would definitely speed things up.

Also, I think more than 8 assignments would be desirable.

I just had a thought. There's another thread regarding morphing and saving it's settings.
If MIDI CCs can be paired with parameters.
How about being able to assign CCs to the morphing axis, which can be saved.
Then these CCs can be assigned to parameters, which also can be saved.

Woa!
