Common Random?
Dr.Synth | Posted on Sun 23 May 2021, 09:21 PM Option to have a "Common" or "Global" RND source for the Mod Matrix that allows for the same random value to be used for all assignments.A simple example why this is useful: Two stacks, Ops 1, 2, 3 in one stack and Ops 4, 5, 6 in a second stack. Setting a Common/Global RND to Freq Fine in Mod Matrix for Ops 4, 5, 6 would change their pitch uniformly so that you could have a random detuning of the stack compared to Ops 1, 2, 3. Similar to a random detuning between 2 analog oscillators Current RND implemntation Ops 4, 5, 6 each get a different RND value, so it randomizes the beating in all the harmonics which doesn't llow for the 'analog' style effect Manny |
